  • 1-2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  1. Cook the rice as directed on the package until tender; set aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks; drain fat.
  4. In a large bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup and sour cream until smooth.
  5. Stir in cooked rice, ground beef, and diced onion into the soup mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Spread mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
